The old adage, “measure twice and cut once,” applies here. You do the measuring and we do the cutting. Fitting a hat is a personal process: the fit needs to suit your hairstyle, how you like to wear your hat—pulled down low over the forehead or sitting up a bit more—and in what conditions, windy or otherwise. Take all this into account when you measure your head.
Use tailor’s tape, a flat cloth or plastic measuring tape to measure the circumference of your noggin, just above your ears. In lieu of tape, you can substitute a piece of string or a ribbon. Don’t pull the string or tape too tight and get someone else to do the measuring if possible. Measure the length of string against a ruler afterward.
If you are doing the measuring yourself, look in the mirror and take several measurements to ensure accuracy. It’s best not to use your other hats for size, as they may have a different size guide than ours. See the charts below for general guidelines. Easy-to-follow instructions for returns and exchanges will be included in your shipment. Any refunds will be issued in the same tender as the purchase. Please note, processing of online returns may take up to 5 business days. Depending on your credit card company, the credit should appear on your statement within 2 billing cycles.
We ask that you call or email with concerns before returning an item. We can sometimes solve a fit problem without a return shipment.
US Orders: Due to the current Canada Post strike we are unable to accept returns from the USA. Once Postal Service resumes our normal return process will continue. Please reach out if you want to return your US order.
Returns: Shipping is not refundable. The customer is responsible for the return shipping costs for all refunds.
Exchanges: Shipping is not refundable. The customer is responsible for the shipping costs to send the item(s) back to us. Lillie & Cohoe will pay the shipping cost to send back the exchanged item(s) to the customer. One exchange per item.
Christmas Order Exchanges/Returns: All orders placed from November 20th through to December 22nd will be eligible for our Extended Return Window of January 31st, 2024. To ensure gifts bought for others can be pre-bought & are still able for exchange/return after the holidays. Returned hat(s) must be received in our Studio by January 31st. Please follow the instructions on the return form sent with your order.
Regular priced items: Items returned unworn, with tags attached and with original receipt within 14 days of receiving your order are eligible for a full refund of the original payment or can be returned for exchange/store credit up to 30 days.
Sale & Clearance items: All sale & clearance items are FINAL SALE.
